Hello and welcome, dear Song Fighters! This is an invitation to challenge me.
I cover your songs
Have you written a song that you'd like to hear a cover version of? More specifically, a cover version by me? Great! Challenge me to cover your song, and know that if I fail to meet your challenge, you automatically and irrevocably are a better person than I am.
The details?
- Send me a link to your song (or the song itself), along with the lyrics. No lead sheet or anything like that required. A private message on the Song Fight forum will do the trick.
- I will record my own version of the song, and I'm probably going to change it up musically. Probably quite a lot. If you don't like that, you are not eligible for challenging me.
- Once I produce something that isn't totally horrible, I send it to you. You give your okay for me to publish the remade version under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license (meaning that others are allowed to copy, perform and/or change the songs as long as all original artists are named, and that redistributions of the song or changed versions need to use the same license), naming you as the original artist. You can choose in which way you want to be credited.
